Virtual Therapy allows me to provide counseling and therapy to my clients via live video conferencing. This can be done anywhere you have a computer or smartphone. Using a virtual format for therapeutic work can be very beneficial if getting to a traditional in-person appointment is not convenient or even quite difficult. Clients are able to schedule an appointment directly online and have the entire therapy session take place digitally. I use a HIPAA compliant platform for sessions.
Virtual Therapy is right for you if:
- You need support, but can’t make it to an in-person appointment
- You are a busy stay-at-home or working parent and don’t have the time to drive across town for an appointment
- You live in a more rural area where therapy resources aren’t as accessible
- You have a strong, dependable internet connection
Virtual Therapy may not be right for you if:
- You do not own a smartphone or computer with working audio and camera features
- You do not have a strong, dependable internet connection accessible to you
- (Couples) If there is a history of physical violence or current patterns of physical violence in conflict
